Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 2026-06-28

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") outlines the information practices of MimoCAD Inc, a New York corporation ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). This Policy covers both our website at mimocad.io ("Website") and our MimoCAD application ("App," and together with the Website, the "Service"). Some practices apply to only one of these; where that is the case, it is noted. MimoCAD is provided to public-safety agencies, which administer their members' accounts and the operational data shown in the Service.

  1. Information We Collect — In the App
    1. Account & Authentication: The App signs you in with a passkey or an access key (QR code) — it does not use OAuth sign-in. We process your username, user and device identifiers, and your agency/department, and exchange your passkey or access key for a session token. Accounts are provisioned by your agency; the App offers no public self-registration.
    2. Device & Notification Information: If you enable notifications, we collect your device's push notification token, device model, and operating-system version in order to deliver alerts.
    3. Content You Submit: We collect information you enter in the App, including remarks you add to incidents, unit status updates, and schedule entries you create.
    4. Preferences: Settings such as appearance, notification filters, radio channel filters, and alert tones are stored on your device.
    5. Location: With your permission, the App uses your device's location only to display your position on the incident map relative to a call. Your location is used on the device and is not transmitted to us or any third party.
    6. Operational (Dispatch) Data: The App displays computer-aided-dispatch information supplied and controlled by your agency, which may include incident addresses, caller information, locations, and unit assignments. This data belongs to your agency; we process it on the agency's behalf.
  2. Information We Collect — On the Website
    1. Personal Information: We may collect personal information such as names, email addresses, and payment information when voluntarily submitted during registration or subscription on the Website.
    2. Usage Information: We may collect non-personal information about how users interact with the Website, including device information, IP addresses, and usage patterns.
    3. Website Sign-In (OAuth): When you sign in to the Website using an external identity provider (such as Google or Microsoft), we access basic account data from that provider — your email address, your given and family name, and the unique identifier (GUID) associated with your account. We use this data to facilitate sign-in, and we store the GUID, email address, and given and family names in our database to maintain continuity of access and permissions. (This applies to the Website only; the App does not use OAuth.)
  3. How We Use Information
    1. Service Provision: We use the collected information to authenticate you, provide and improve the Service, deliver dispatch information and notifications, and (on the Website) process payments and communicate about accounts.
    2. Analytics: We may use analytics tools to understand and improve usage of the Website. The App does not include third-party analytics or advertising and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
  4. Information Sharing
    1. Your Agency / CAD Systems: We share your username and activity with the associated computer-aided-dispatch interfaces so your actions can be identified to your agency.
    2. Service Providers: The App uses Apple's Push Notification service to deliver notifications and Apple Maps to render maps; incident coordinates are sent to Apple to draw map tiles. We do not sell your information.
    3. Legal: We do not otherwise share personal information with third parties except as required by law.
  5. Data Security
    1. Security Measures: Connections to the Service use encryption (HTTPS/TLS), and in the App your session token is stored in the device's secure keychain. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
  6. Data Retention & Your Choices
    1. Notifications & Location: You can disable notifications or revoke the location permission at any time in iOS Settings or within the App.
    2. Account Deletion: Accounts are managed by your agency. To deactivate your account or request deletion of your associated data, contact your agency administrator or us at the address below.
    3. Promotional Email: You may opt out of promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in the emails or by contacting us.
  7. Children's Privacy
    1. The Service is intended for use by authorized public-safety personnel and is not directed to children.
  8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
    1. Updates: We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes are effective upon posting the revised Policy. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
  9. Contact Information
    1. Questions: If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at Privacy@MimoCAD.io.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
